Learn Portuguese at the Sprachen Akademie. We offer effective and affordable Portuguese courses with qualified language teachers. You can choose between intensive, private or evening courses.

The fastest way to learn a new language is by taking an intensive course. Our courses take place every morning from Monday to Friday. We offer courses at all levels of the European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1 to C2). The placement takes place means of our free placement test, which you can either take on-site at our school in Zurich or online from the homepage of our website.

Dates and Course Schedule

Start: on the first Monday of each month for all levels (in the case of a public holiday, the start is postponed to the following Tuesday)

Dates: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. – 20 hours per week

If you have time constraints or if the intensive courses are too strenuous for you, then our semi-intensive courses are the ideal solution. The courses take place four days a week with shortened course times. If you are professionally active, we also offer evening courses in addition to the morning courses.

Monday to Thursday either in the morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or in the evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Because the size of the group plays a decisive role in your learning success, our evening courses take place in small groups. The best way to learn a language is to practice it often, which is why our small groups ensure that you get as much out of the class as possible. First and foremost, teachers focus on communication in everyday situations. They will also teach you the most important grammatical structures and useful vocabulary. After the course, you will be able to communicate in the language and understand conversations.

Course Duration and Dates

The course takes place once a week during a double lesson. The duration of the course is 12 weeks.
Starting dates: every first Tuesday of the month (all levels).
Dates: Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Private lessons are the ideal way to learn a new language. The advantage of this form of teaching is that the teacher can respond individually to your needs and wants. In addition, you do not have any classmates from whom you may learn incorrect pronunciation. Our teachers are native speakers whose role models you can use right from the start. You schedule the dates yourself with the teacher and you also choose the number of hours per week. With the help of a placement test, the teacher gets a precise idea of your current knowledge. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate attesting your newly acquired language knowledge, based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Tip 2: If you book the course together with one or two other people, you can divide the course fees by two or three.
